What is the Integrated Benefits Institute?

IBI is an independent nonprofit research organization focused on workforce health and productivity. We produce impartial research, benchmarking data and analytic tools that more than 1,600 member employers and suppliers use to make benefits decisions with evidence instead of guesswork.

Who is IBI membership for?

IBI has two member types. Employers join to benchmark their benefits, leave and disability programs against independent data. Suppliers join to understand the employer market and show their value with credible numbers. If you buy or manage benefits, leave, disability or workforce health programs, employer membership is the right fit.

How much does IBI employer membership cost?

Employer membership is a flat 3,750 US dollars per year. There are no tiers, and the rate covers your whole team rather than a single seat.

Is IBI's research independent? Who funds it?

Yes. IBI is a nonprofit. We are not a vendor, an insurer or a lobbying group, and our research is funded through membership rather than by the companies whose products it evaluates. That independence is why the numbers hold up when you put them in front of finance.

What data is in IBI's benchmarking database?

IBI maintains the largest leave and disability database in the country, covering more than 8 million claims across short-term disability, long-term disability, FMLA and workers' compensation.

Can I see the research and tools before I join?

Yes. Book a demo and we will walk you through the benchmarking portal, the calculators and the members-only research library before you apply. A large share of IBI's research is also published publicly at no cost, so you can read our work before you talk to us.
