Absence Management for Hybrid and Remote Workforces 

The transition to hybrid and remote work has fundamentally reshaped absence management across U.S. organizations. This mixed-methods research is based on survey data from 807 HR professionals and business decision makers collected in June 2025, supplemented by qualitative analysis of open-ended responses regarding lessons learned and future expectations. The research suggests that successful absence management in these new work arrangements requires a paradigm shift from traditional time-based oversight to outcome-focused, trust-based management systems.
