Leave Benchmarking Survey: Caregiving Leave Infographic


In January, IBI surveyed more than 400 employers about their Caregiving Benefits. Respondents were instructed to focus on non-mandated leave benefits provided to employees. In the absence of a federal paid family leave program, the responsibility to support workers with caregiving obligations mostly falls to employers.

Survey highlights: 

- 80% of employers offer a custom employer-sponsored leave for family member caregiving
- A third (34%) of employers began offering this benefit within the past 12 months
- 53% of employers have lost employees due to family caregiving demands 
- 57% plan to roll out a custom employer-sponsored leave within the next 12 months
